Always has a bit of a line to get in on weekends, but for good reason! Pastries are amazing, coffee is great too. I will say the Hungarian coffee is too sweet for my taste (almond flavoring is always on the sweet end) but the flavoring itself does not taste artificial at all, so definitely try if you like sweet coffee! Apricot cake was the star of the show-- will be returning just to try this again.

I was craving something sweet after class, so I decided to pop into the good old Hungarian Pastry Shop. I got several cookies, and they were great-- the butter cookies with chocolate filling and raspberry jam filling were especially 100/10! Service was great and ambiance was very cozy and chill. Will visit again to try out their croissants and cakes!

Russian coffee--basically hot chocolate coffee-- was good and grabbed it twice. Hungarian coffee-- bland and indistinct. Baklava--the top 1/3 was extremely tasty and crispy, lower 2/3 part not great as it was too sweet and grainy. The dessert practically fell apart while trying to consume the bottom 2/3 part. Chocolate croissant--great esp if you enjoy it within an hour of the baked goods' creation. Ambiance--always filled with people. Fun atmosphere.

Sign is out so you may need to peak your head in to confirm this is the place or just look at the line out the door :) The pastries are just as good as everyone says (thanks yelpers!). The service is friendly. The hardest thing is deciding. Ended up with the cherry and cheese streusel and the plum cookie. Both were butter and flakey and packed with filling. This would definitely be a great offering to bring to a potluck or someone who has a sweet tooth Service does move at a decent clip too so do not be too discouraged with the line out the door.
